love is in the air

is it cheesy to say i love, love?

valentine's day gives me goosebumps and makes my heart flutter all day (this coming from a girl who normally dislikes anything heart-shaped..save it for valentine's day people)

while breakfast wasn't served it bed (white bedding-- not gonna happen) it was inspired!

not cool when the yolks break (runny eggs gross me out) before being served -- still a heart-felt breakfast! (bonus points for heart-shaped and xo cut potatoes) 

some sweets for my sweets.

traveling back a little to christmas eve & christmas morning! james and I spent our holiday here in san francisco creating some of our own christmas traditions!!

christmas eve: 

1. christmas morning on the beach
2. me and lola bear
3. gorgeous picnic spot view (scary drop down)
4. puppy wanting some of our strawberries

1. butterfly - for christmas eve dinner
2. clean up nicely after a morning hike

1. christmas even presents
2. me & my new camera -- present from my future 'in-laws', james' parents

christmas day:

1. christmas hats on & ready for stockings & present opening

and that's our christmas! :) I had such a wonderful christmas eve & christmas day! it was exciting to have 60 degree weather verse snow (yuck) and spend the holiday at the beach with my two loves!

the most wonderful time

happy holiday lovelies!

can't believe it's already december 21st-- where has time gone?

I am late to jump on the christmas decorations post-- but better late than never-- right? ;)

since we live in a >800 sq ft apartment- space is limited (that's putting it mildly) which means buying christmas decorations = not happening. (I'd rather have the space to store my clothes than worrying about decorations) so I made due with what I had & spent maybe $12 at michaels.

a. handmade candy dish -- made my yours truly 
b. poinsettia flowers
c. table centerpiece

a. vase + added pretty purple bow & gold/silver balls

b. stockings hung from bookshelf 

c. vase + touch of gold and red 

remember how I mentioned we were getting a christmas tree delivered? yep. we paid $30 for this very oh-so tiny christmas tree. our version of a 'charlie brown christmas tree'. and yes-- it stands maybe 2 1/2 ft tall. seriously. 

lastly-- wanted to share our christmas card pictures! i absolutely loved how they turned out! 

the 2nd is my personal fav. we went old school and sent actual cards with our pictures-- there's just something very personal that I love about writing in our cards and signing our names! ;)

can't wait for the holiday! what are your christmas plans? 

we are spending christmas here in san francisco together with our own little family. :)

Since our Christmas tree isn't here yet-- it gets delivered on Friday (more deets on that once we get it up and decorated) Jessica's ornaments are finding a home on our bookshelf with our stockings!

So excited for my 1st 'blogger swap'! I was paired with Lindsay over at Undomestic Chica. 

There's just something about getting mail-- and it's even better when it's presents! Surprises are my faaaav and I adore what Lindsay got me!
