weekend update

james, lola & I stayed put in san francisco for the long holiday weekend. 

here's a little glimpse into our weekend:

and clearly we like to hike. 

just before the weekend ended we put up our christmas tree.

and I'm sort of obsessed.

this weekend was the right amount of "just what I needed..."
 
after work friday I hit the pavement gravel for a run along side the beach to the golden gate bridge. haven't really ran since my half marathon and a long, sunny run was just what I needed

lola had puppydate saturday (you may remember albus from lola's post) and I don't want to speak for her-- but I'm pretty sure it was just what she* needed.

we spent the afternoon laying on a blanket in dolores park and watching the pups play (with a good dose of people watching)

along the walk to/from the park, I couldn't help but to stop to be a creeper and take some pictures of the neighborhood. incredible, right?

sometimes you just have to look up

I didn't take any picture (shame) but we did treat ourselves to a soft serve twist cone from bi-rite. hit the spot. just what I needed. (love the walk-up windows)

an early dinner (+cocktails!) with friends (up from LA for the day) was the perfect* ending to a pretty fantastic weekend. we dined and sipped on cocktails at beretta with friends who came up from LA for the day.

pretty amazing weekend if you ask me. a little dose of everything I needed.

let me introduce myself. i'm lola.

hello!

my mom talks about me frequently on the blog. probably because I'm her favorite. and for the obvious reason, i'm adorable and my manners.

i try to always look my best. i love bows in my hair. the pink ones are my favorite.

mom has given me a haircut or two.

what I go through for beauty

mom & dad pretty much take me every where. and we've shared a lot of memories in my almost 2 years.
i'll be 2 in may. can't wait to celebrate!

and to see this year's birthday outfit.

we go hiking by the ocean. i love the views, but it can be exhausting, my feet don't move as quickly as theirs.

wine country. not quite old enough to drink.

i'm not always invited in starbucks.

so I wait patiently outside

i love picnics in the park when the weather is warm

we moved across the country. twice. i'm really well-behaved in the car.

i even helped them pack!

can't forget my toys!

i really love to make new friends.

nemo and i have a complicated relationship

when i'm home myself i hang out by the window.

blogging is hard when you don't have thumbs

i have to earn my keep around the house somehow.

 

what mom and dad are having always smells better

i try to keep my figure and de-stress with exercise

always better with a buddy

or a game of fetch

which usually requires a nap

naps are always best with dad

i can be just a little camera shy

especially if I haven't hit the tanning beds

I try not to anymore.

I used to have such great color

that's okay. mom and dad love me regardless.

weekend update!

happy monday lovelies!

I always hate to say goodbye to the weekend. We had some gorgeous weather and spent the majority of our time outside.

friday: since the weekend started a day earlier-- wootwoot! I ventured up to Mt Tamalpais with my friend Julie & while I was scared shitless from hearing noises that sounded like rattle snakes (there are signs pretty much everywhere to watch out for rattlesnakes)-- the views (and drive) were breathtaking.

saturday: while original plans were to head to the oakland A's home opener-- we decided we'd rather spend the afternoon outside! we jumped in the car and drove down to pacifica.

sunday: we spent Easter in Sonoma. I love the drive over the golden gate bridge and since we joined the wine club we promised we'd head up to wine country more often. I packed us a picnic and it was pretty much the perfect afternoon. Plus who says no to wine? 

Told you we spent our entire weekend outside! Wouldn't of spent it any other way. No complaints here! Yay!

And on a completely random other note: I am soooooo so so so ecstatic-- I finally found a salon & a stylist I love. Yep. happy girl here.
