it's been a while..

It's been exactly a month since my last post. I left you with Wednesday and well where better to pick up.. than with Wednesday. Sound good?

I can't believe it's already April! (I haaaate to even say this, because it's said so frequently, but seriously. time is flying by...). March came and went and here's a little of what happened: (I sound like the intro a real housewives episode, ha)

*Had a super fun girls weekend here in SF with some of my college bff'ers (and sorority sisters). We ventured up to Napa for St. Patty's Day and even scored some green wine. Oh and had the most delicious dinner of my life.
*Celebrated my birthday with an amazing group of friends! We drank loooots of sangria and some yummy strawberry shots. (pictures to come... promises)!
*Started and finished the Hunger Game trilogy and saw the movie opening night! (loooooved the movie and was slightly disappointed in the final book)
*Added some touches to our apartment. Finally got our chair for the little window nook in our apartment. Filled some frames with some art (even though they're still not all hung). Can't wait to share pictures (soon, I hate sharing an incomplete look!)
*Have some exciting plans up my sleeves that I'm really really over-the-moon to get off the ground.
*Welcomed some great changes with work!

And with that, I really hope to keep up on my blogging. Gonna give it my best!
Let's see how this goes... baby steps.

stop to smell the flowers

love the smell and prettiness of fresh flowers! I have continued to make our little apartment a tad bit brighter each week with flowers. these two varieties have become repeat offenders.

seventeen days later

Posting that James and I are heading to Hawaii and then going on a blog hiatus for seventeen days would probably lead people to assume we were in Hawaii. I could only wish it was this soon. We actually go during Memorial Day Weekend --woohoo! (which means: I still have time to get off this winter weight-- yeah, I haven't worked out twice since my half marathon.) 

Oh and please share any recommendations of hotels, restaurants and fun/adventurous things to do!

Weekends have been super jam packed. I have too many pictures to sort through and promise some updates soooooon (let's face it-- I need to play some major catch up!) Now that I have my spiffy new camera I basically have become obsessed with taking pictures of-- everything. 

Which is why I am sad that picnik is 'closing' --who does that? I need a new starter photo editing program. Suggestions?  

Okay- so this is a pretty bland/random post- but just wanted to let you know that I'm in fact not in Hawaii AND it's been raining in San Francisco since Tuesday.

bad blogger (and some rants)

Shame on me...

For several reasons. Probably the first being that in 4 short (far too short) hours I have my first surgery. Well my first solo case in the OR. Ahh... I am extremely excited but have a huge weight of anxiety in my chest. AH! I always get like this whenever I have something to do to. It's just who I am. I am trying to 'yoga' myself and basically remind myself to breath... So I am taking a breather from my procedure studying to blog. I need an outlet (and isn't that partly why I started this?) 

Secondly I promised pictures. Wow...am I not delivering. I am so sorry. I have some fantastic pictures from Costa Rica and I can't wait to share. I promise after this weekend (I am traveling some more) I will be a better blogger! :) hang in there followers (all 6 of you!) ;)

Onto my rants..

I have done SO much laundry in the past few days (I washed everything I took with us to CR) and I still need to clean (this is reeeeeeeeeeeeaally bothering me, I hate mess!) Friday night after coming back from Costa Rica, it was a wise decision (that is debatable) while out for a friend's birthday to decide to take an impromptu trip to NYC (I have never been, gasp... and I'll get into that in a later post too..)  and I haven't had a second to do anything!! And this weekend, as I mentioned I am heading back home...

Lastly, a friend who I grew up with UN-friended me on Facebook. I know..petty. (I mean, I want to say I don't care....but of course I do!) And I doubt she reads my blog or anyone who knows her does (which maybe it'd be great if she did or someone could tell her).......it's RUDE (and actually really hurt my feelings and kinda struck a cord for me...) I want to go into the story of how it all happened but I desperately need to eat something and get my crap together for my BIG day! So yet another post another time... :)


Well blog world, wish me luck!! I just hope I don't puke from my anxiety. ha! (which may be possibility)

overload

Maybe it's just me... but I probably could blog all. day. long.... no, seriously. It may come from the fact that I just enjoy talking?? (not to discredit the fact that I am a great listener!)

I am very excited that I am actually going to have someone help me design my blog. There are so many ideas going on in my brain and I really feel like I am in blog overload.

On a completely separate and random note : I am pretty sure I need to set aside my ocd and just post. I find that I have several saved posts just waiting to be finished... to be perfected and that is the beauty of blogging, it is whatever I want it to be! :) right? I question whether it's crazy to post more than 1 blog a day and if anyone will really want to read what I have to say... but that's not why I started my blog! I wanted an outlet, a place to share what's going on in my life with friends/family and join the community of bloggers!

Soooo...what I am saying is : I am excited to be on this journey and basically put my life out there to share! :) Enjoy!!!

hello blogger

...finally !! 

I am now officially part of the 'blogger' world. I was recently using WordPress and received many (ahem, Aly) comments that blogger was better. So even though I am still trying to figure out blogger, I am willing to learn. I love so much of what google does and so why wouldn't I love their blog too?

Initially this is going to be a growing process for me because I'm sure with my ocd you'll find many changes but I am really excited to start my adventures in the blogging world! And now I can stop 'lurking' on all the blogs that I love to read daily and join the blogger community! 

So bare with me.... with the growing/learning, random posts, the irrational thoughts and my sharing my life with everyone! Yay!! :)
