when stuck at home

Stranded at home (No car today. And public transportation? Ha, no thank you!) Granted I could walk a hundred different places but well then you wouldn't have this blog post :)

This week flew by! --I can't believe it's already Monday! Eeek

As I previously blogged -- on Wednesday night we had friends over for dinner and enjoyed maaaany bottles of wine together!

Thursday night we entertained some more friends with tacos! I made shredded chicken and ground turkey tacos with all the fixings and some gauc (again a lack of pictures, sorry! believe me they were delicious!!)

And later in the evening --we went to my favorite theater -- Kabuki (which is right around from our new place, can't wait until Sept 1st!!) and saw 'The Help'.  The books are always better, but I definitely enjoyed the movie! Loved how they portrayed Celia, she was my faaav!

Friday, James hosted some people who came into town for work. So we ventured out to sushi. And Saturday was spent on a blind girl date --Sorta. I met up with a girl who knows James and his biz partner and got breakfast. I had talked to her a few times over the phone (before I moved to the city) and via texts. So we decided to get together for breakfast + coffee!  Needless to say --we are already planning our next girl date for Thursday! :)

Sunday, we played tourist around the city and I snapped some picture but I won't be sharing because I am pretty sure you're tired of seeing the Golden Gate Bridge via my iPhone. ;)

And all  that 'what I was up to this weekend' nonsense has led to me to the fun part--(if you're still reading, kudos to you!) -- being stuck at home today + this blog post about what I snagged while shopping --via the internet.

I practically drool over everything on ASOS and with a Labor Day trip to wine country coming up and having to convert my wardrobe to be fitting with San Francisco weather (yay to more shopping!)

So here's what I bought today --

Love love loooove blazers. In desperate need of a navy blue one!
navy boyfriend blazer
Can't wait to twirl around in this while in napa/sonoma!
camel midi dress
Love t-bar + block heel --& the price!
nude t-bar shoe
Lack navy in my closet and love pleats. (yes --pleats)
pleated skirt
Have been in search for the perfect trench --this may be it!

I can't wait for the package to arrive. I scored an additional 20% off (EXTRA20) sale items and 10% off (EXTRATEN) my entire purchase! Woot woot!
I hope everything fits and I don't have to send anything back

Had any great online shopping lately???

--now I am on the hunt for 1 more dress for wine country --suggestions?

I blogged last week about seeing "the Help" and how much I loved Celia. I have been finding via blogs that most people liked her character the most. I can't help but ask myself did I like her the most because she did the least about amount hating blacks in the film? Tough questions. We love to hate the bad ones and love the poor innocent ones!

Love your finds! I just got a navy blazer and I wear it with EVERYTHING. I may have to use that coupon code and do a little shopping myself. :)
