happy friday!

it is absolutely gorgeous* outside-- and has been this entire week!
just another reason why I loooove living in california (I love saying that too)

james' birthday* was feb 19 and I figured what a great way to end the week with a little par-tay post!

sunday morning we finished the weekend with a trip to wine country!

The weekend was an absolute* blast! We had an awesome time with all our friends. 

I didn't take pictures of any of the food, but pretty much made all the appetizers that I planned and they turned out really delicious*! I love having our friends over!

yay for friday! 

I plan on spending lots & lots of time outside this weekend!! happy weekend!

I confess this Friday Confessional is letting me off the hook from writing my post about our 48 hour / 4 day cross-country drive from DC to our new home in San Francisco! (I promise I will get to it soon!)

I confess that I have zero blogging motivation. Seriously lacking creativity. -Help?

I confess that I am trying to adjust to the weather change. Pretty sure I need a whole new 'San Francisco wardrobe' ;) 

I confess that I hate (looooathe) that there is no Target IN the city (which I am pretty sure James loves + my bank account).

I confess that we saw a sign that announced an arrival of Target in Fall 2012. Woot.Woot. 

I confess looking for apartments is sorta fun -- until you realize it's harder then getting a job in the current state of our economy. (no really)

I confess I'm only asking ask for: 

   large bedroom

   walk-in closet

   hardwood floors

   washer + dryer IN unit

   roman tub

   high ceilings 

   outside access

   parking space included

   prime location to grocery/restaurants

   safe neighborhood

   pet friendly 

   dog park in walking distance

.........that's not asking for too much, is it? 

I confess that I am asking for too much in my apartment hunt. (hey I know what I like!)

I confess that I can't wait to have our own place. Out of suitcase/boxes living is not for me. 

I confess that I love seeing people walking their dogs + running all over the city. love.

I confess that I desperately need a fancy-shmancy camera (apparently my gifts must of got delivered to DC) even more now! The scenery is to-die-for. My iPhone can't compete.

I know the mid-west/east coast is still sweltering hot -- Can you pleeease send some of that warm sunshine this way?? (I can't believe I am rocking boots in July!) James and I may head down to LA this weekend for a friend's website launch party, but I'm not quite sure I can bring myself to being in the car for 6.5 hours (and there was no way we were going to spend $300+/per ticket).

friday confessional

Oh boy!! I am excited this morning that it's Friday & the sun is shining! 

I confess that I don't want to make this confession...  I haven't done a great job of holding myself accountable to my 'training' and 'healthy eating'. Pretty sure the last trip to Harris Teeter included a canister of salt & vinegar pringles! (boooo) ...I am a little disappointed in myself and I think the rain and horrible weather didn't help along with being locked inside with nowhere to turn but my pringles (yes, I'm making excuses....)

I confess that I am cleaning out closets and trying on things to get rid of and I'm finding that i'm fitting into stuff that I don't want to fit.... Ugh. Really!

I confess that I recorded the royal wedding and I found it thrilling to see all the traditions. And I thought Kate looked absolutely beautiful! (and I loved all the hats...)

I confess that James and I have considered getting another puppy and I'm debating if I reeeeally want to take the attention away from my sweet little Lola. (and if I want to go through potty training again..) But I'd love for her to have a brother/sister to give her some puppy companionship.

I confess that I have a little bit of baby fever. 

I confess that I don't get calories/carbs/sodium... it irritates me that proportions do not match the nutritional information... You know what I mean!

I confess that I desperately (you know it's bad when your bf notices and even offers to pay for it!) need a haircut. My hair is in that weird/blah/extremely dead stage and I've used my straightener for the first time in probably years... It won't hold a curl. Surprisingly the only benefit is the part that I have been rockin' :)

I confess that my eyebrows look a hot mess. I get them threaded and the last time I did, the lady went in a little too far and I'm trying to regrow my eyebrows in that portion of my brow... awesome. 

I confess that I fully plan on spending my friday night in the tub with a movie, a glass (or two) of moscoto & bath bombs. Ahhh :)

I confess that I am really excited my following is growing (eek yay!!!!) and that I am finding soooo so so many great new blogs that I now follow daily! I truly appreciate all the sweet comments and getting to know everyone through the world of blogging! :)

friday confessions

I confess that I took note of my confessions for this week (yep, in my memo pad on my blackberry) so that I could be a good blogger this week! Much better than thinking of confessions on the fly. 

I confess that completely forgot this week started lent and haven't thought much about anything I want to give up. Things considered: nail biting, pop, shopping, chips/popcorn (specifically salt and vinegar), and ice cream...

I confess that every time I am home and there is a knock at the door I freak out just a little. My apartment complex doesn't know Ms Lola exists ($1000 pet deposit, you're kidding me right?) and I don't want to get caught.

I confess that now that I am confessing my above confession that I am superstitious that somehow someway they'll find out because I now admitted it out loud (or on my blog). 


I confess that I looove cleaning and organizing. It is the best way I can relax.

I confess that I am really excited for my high school reunion this fall. It'll be fun/interesting to catch up with people I haven't seen in 10 years. (and then gossip about it all with my friends afterwards).

it's friday! :) and I must confess...

Oh goodness! I can't believe it's Friday. :) Time has flown by this week... 

I confess that my house is a mess. I mean it isn't a disgusting mess by any means, but it is definitely dusty and I have piles of crap every.where. I am quite embarrassed. I don't feel like I can get anything done when things aren't in their place and unorganized, so needless to say it makes me extremely unmotivated. Shame on me. 

I confess that I am jealous of everyone's beautiful blogs. I am trying really hard to be a good blogger, but just can't find the time to sit down and write blogs (and truthfully, when I do it turns into a giant rant that I have to delete because I am ashamed that I lashed out on my blog rather than writing something thoughtful.) I do have a blog design coming soon and I am constantly changing my mind. And I am starting to see how truly indecisive I really am. 

I confess that I am stealing Aly's confession. (which I also didn't know she has never had a hamburger, we need to go to lunch, asap) I am pretty much over the whole hype of Facebook and it urks (you never really hear that word anymore, I may bring it back) me more than I can say when people check-in EVERYWHERE. I mean I see people checking in at home. Really people, really?

I confess that I am slightly obsessed with Charlie Sheen. I mean I don't have much respect for the guy and don't agree with his choices and his behavior. But I mean he is beyond entertaining and has left me with sooo many sayings that I can just add into my daily life. "Winning" I mean com'on the guy knows how to play his audience... and well. I have been spending far too much time here. 

I confess that I want to start tanning again. (you know you fake 'n baked back in college too). I'm not Anne Hathaway and can not pull off the white porcelain skin look. I know how horrible it is for your skin and I am trying to not look like a leather bond book when I am 30 which is why I stopped but I am just eew pale. 

I confess that I am slightly obsessed with American Idol. I don't vote and probably won't but I looove watching them sing and secretly wish I was blessed with a voice that didn't sound like nails on a chalkboard. 

friday... confessions

...I confess that I spend far too many hours reading blogs. I just recently started a new job (Jan 3rd) and I should be spending my evenings with my nose buried in the anatomy of the foot/ankle and learning surgery techniques and procedures. But when you weigh the two against each other, I'll let you distinguish what takes rank. Oops.

...I confess that because it has been so cold out that I haven't been taking Lola for very many (any) walks. It sorta goes like this: go outside, do your business, back inside. And I imagine if Lola had thumbs (and a blog) she may also confess that it's too cold out too and she's rather just get back inside.

...I confess that I have really started to enjoy sleeping in. I have always been an early riser and being up and getting things done and out of the way for the day (I am talking 7:00am, even on weekends) but sleeping and staying in my warm-oh-so-comfy bed is something I'm getting more and more used to!!

...I confess that I haven't had a paycheck since December and have found that I can live frugal and I haven't shopped or had one impulse buy since. I don't know if I am sick in the head or what, but it's seriously been a miracle.

...I confess that I used to despise American Idol and find that every Wed/Thurs I look forward to watching the show! Oh and Glee too!
